The Xenu Story + OTIII

One of the most import, core beliefs of Scientologists. This is taught at OT level III, which takes months and  tens of thousands of dollars to reach.

This video is a segment from a 1988 BBC Panorama documentary on Scientology. This is what Scientologists believe, though they deny it, as they are forbidden to discuss it publicly or with new recruits (who have not yet been brainwashed). Outing the story to the public means instant expulsion from the church and a campaign to discredit / silence you.

I’m not showing this video because I disagree with their beliefs, I’m showing you because I strongly believe that people have the right to know what they’re getting into before they join, not years later.

The Unfunny Truth

A quick rundown of a small portion of the criminal activity the church has been involved in over the years. I take issue with the style of the video, but all of the examples given are indisputably true, and I think it's important that people know just how serious the Church's crimes have been.

“Operation Snow White” was the single largest infiltration of the US government in history, with up to 5000 agents. This isn’t a conspiracy theory, it’s documented fact. People were convicted and jailed, including L. Ron Hubbard’s wife.

Be warned, this video contains disturbing images.

L. Ron Hubbard Quotes

Just a few things the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, said in his lifetime. Touches on the money-making purpose of the church, the “fair-game” policy of attacking opposition, the core doctrines of the church that allow and encourage members to break the law, and Hubbard’s racist tendencies.

BBC Documentary

The BBC produced a documentary on Scientology in 2007 which focussed on, among other things, the “fair game” policy that the Church uses against all who oppose them. In the words of BBC reporter John Sweeney:

"While making our BBC Panorama film ‘Scientology and Me’ I have been shouted at, spied on, had my hotel invaded at midnight, denounced as a ‘bigot’ by star Scientologists and been chased round the streets of Los Angeles by sinister strangers."

The Church also, unsuccessfully, tried to have the documentary blocked from release.

The Secret Life of L. Ron Hubbard

England’s Channel 4 station aired this program in 1997 as part of their “Secret Lives” series, about L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of the Church of Scientology. The church made legal threats and harassed almost all involved to try to get this pulled, but the station successfully argued that it was based entirely on fact and interviews with former Scientologists.

Long, but definitely worth watching, it provides a detailed history of the church and L. Ron Hubbard.

Tory Christman

Tory Christman, a former high level Scientologist, gives a speech about her experiences in the church.

Tory was a Scientologist for over 30 years, and reached the level of OT7, the second highest rank. She worked at OSA, the Scientology agency responsible for public relations, legal affairs, investigations into “enemies” and some questionable tactics.

She did not intend to be a critic, but after being declared an SP (“suppressive person”) and harassed as such, she decided to speak out.
